Blood plasma from recovered COVID-19 patients is being used to treat COVID-19 cases at Lahey Hospital & Medical Center as part of a new investigational treatment. Staff are working to implement this trial at Winchester and Beverly hospitals, as well.

The Winton Club Steps Up

The Winton Club has donated $60,000 from the proceeds of their annual cabaret and gift shop sales to the Winchester Hospital Healthcare Heroes Fund. Members of the century-old charitable organization made their generous annual gift ahead of schedule to assist in the response to COVID-19.

Filling the Hospital

with Flowers

The cancellation of Easter services and other events left Heimlich's Nurseries in Woburn with a shop full of tulips and daffodils. The Heimlich family decided to donate more than 250 flowers as a pick-me-up for the staff and patients at Winchester Hospital who couldn't spend the holidays with their families.

The Cancer 5K
Goes Virtual

To curb the spread of COVID-19, the Lahey Cancer Institute 5K Walk & Run will not take place on June 27. Instead, the race will become a virtual fundraiser to support cancer care at Winchester and four other participating hospitals. To join the virtual race, please visit our website at the link below.
